Vintage Pongrass Octagonal Dining Set — Table + 4 Swivel Chairs

A super cool retro dining set by Australian furniture maker Pongrass, comprising an octagonal blush pink laminate dining table and four matching swivel chairs. A rare opportunity to own a complete set with strong period character.

The table features a blush/dusty rose pink laminate top in excellent condition with no chips or lifting. The octagonal shape and single pedestal base with four-arm spider legs are quintessentially late-20th century Australian commercial design.

The four chairs have cream/off-white moulded shells with four-arm swivel bases in grey powder-coated metal. Each chair is fitted with a padded seat and backrest upholstered in a multicolour stripe fabric in tones of pink, red, grey, blush, and sand. Two of the four chairs have minor fabric wear to the seat edges — small areas of fraying where the upholstery meets the shell. All four chairs also have some surface scratches to the outer edges of the shells, consistent with age and use.

Structurally sound and comfortable.
These sets are increasingly sought after and rarely come up as a complete matched set. Ideal for a retro kitchen, dining room, or studio space. Would suit a reupholster for a like-new result or love them as they are.
