RETURN & REFUND POLICY

1. FINAL SALE – NO CHANGE-OF-MIND

Our pieces are one-of-a-kind vintage/second-hand items and are sold “as is”.

We do not accept returns, exchanges or refunds for change of mind, size/fit in your space, or normal age-related wear such as patina, light marks, minor colour or finish variation.


2. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW (ACL)

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies the non-excludable consumer guarantees under the ACL.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.


3. IF YOUR ITEM ARRIVES DAMAGED OR NOT AS DESCRIBED

Please contact us as soon as possible so we can help.

• Email: info@twogirlsandacontainer.com.au (include your order number), or call 0410 112 048.

• For transit issues, please notify us within 48 hours where possible and include clear photos of:

  – the outer packaging (all sides), 

  – internal packaging, and 

  – the item/area of concern.

• Keep all packaging until we resolve your case (carriers may need to inspect it).

Note: The 48-hour request helps us lodge carrier claims quickly and does **not** limit your ACL rights.


4. REMEDIES WE MAY OFFER (ACL)

After assessment, and where required by the ACL, we will provide an appropriate remedy:

• **Repair** of the item; or

• **Replacement** (if a like item exists—sometimes not possible for unique pieces); or

• **Refund** to your original payment method.

Where the ACL requires, we will cover reasonable return costs and refund the original delivery fee.


5. WHAT ISN’T COVERED

The following are generally not considered faults:

• normal vintage wear and patina consistent with age;

• colour/finish variation due to lighting/screens;

• minor measurement variances where dimensions provided are substantially accurate;

• damage occurring after delivery (including where Authority to Leave was given);

• misuse, improper care or installation;

• access issues at the delivery address (e.g., stairs/tight access not disclosed), or courier redelivery/storage fees.


6. RETURN AUTHORISATION & CONDITION

A return must be approved by us in writing before you send anything back.


If a return is approved:

• We’ll provide instructions and return address or arrange a carrier pickup.

• Items must be securely re-packed and protected to at least the standard received.

• Include all parts/accessories originally supplied.

• Risk remains with you until the item is received by us (unless we or our carrier collect it).


7. REFUND TIMING

Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method.

Please allow 3–5 business days for our processing plus your bank’s processing time (which may take a further 3–10 business days).


8. PICK-UP / INSPECTED ITEMS

If you inspect an item in person (or via additional photos/video supplied before purchase) and accept its condition, the sale remains final, except for your non-excludable rights under the ACL.


9. HOW TO START A RETURN OR ISSUE

• order number and contact name,

• a brief description of the issue, and

• clear photos (item, issue, and packaging).

We’ll reply with next steps and any evidence the carrier requires.
