A striking piece of Danish design by Rud Thygesen (1932–2019), one of Denmark’s most respected post-war furniture designers. Known for his pioneering work in bentwood and laminated timber, Thygesen’s designs combined sculptural form with everyday function.
This freestanding coat and hat stand is crafted in beech, with gracefully bent arms radiating from a stacked circular collar and a tripod base that gives both balance and elegance. A fine example of Danish functionalism, it is as practical as it is sculptural — a statement for entryways, living spaces, or mid-century interiors.
