A rare and sculptural dining table by Wallace Furniture, showcasing the sleek futurism and material confidence of late-mid-century Australian design.
This striking piece features a hexagonal smoked-glass top that floats elegantly above a chrome-plated base, detailed with solid teak inlay running the full length of each leg and apron. The interplay of chrome and timber gives the table a refined, architectural presence—warmth and precision in perfect balance.
At 1.54 metres across, it comfortably seats eight and anchors a space without overwhelming it. All 8 original dining chairs are available for purchase also.
The chrome is in excellent condition with a brilliant, mirror-like finish, and the smoked glass presents beautifully with only minimal age-appropriate wear—an exceptionally well-preserved example.
A standout for collectors of Australian mid-century, and a perfect centrepiece for contemporary interiors wanting a hit of vintage sophistication.
