A beautiful Parker Nordic six-drawer chest, Australian made and dating to the mid-century period.
The wide, low profile is classic Parker Nordic, elevated on tapered legs and finished with six generous drawers. The standout detail is the set of sculpted timber recessed pulls, giving the piece a distinctly Scandinavian-influenced character while retaining Parker’s recognisable Australian modernist aesthetic.
The teak timber presents with a rich, warm tone and lovely grain throughout. The top has been professionally refinished, while the front has undergone careful restoration, including invisible veneer restoration designed to retain the integrity and original appearance of the piece rather than making it look overly restored.
A particularly good bedroom piece, but equally strong used as a long storage chest in a living room, hallway or beneath artwork.
