Pacific Green was borne from a need to find a solution to deforestation. In 1986 a large plantation of coconut palm trees, commercially planted in the early 1900s was discovered and a new furniture concept was created. Pacific Green opened a factory in the South Pacific, setting a benchmark for other sustainable businesses. Land was leased, rather than bought in respect of the indigenous owners and the factory was built in consultation with the local villagers with the employees sourced from the local people.
This beautiful vintage Pacific Green Messina table lamp dates from the 1980s. Made from a solid coconut trunk and twine, it has been partnered with a fabulous green conical shade. A stunning lamp in excellent vintage condition.
