Edward Hill Extending Dining Table – Sculptural Timber & exceptional veneer

A striking statement dining table by Edward Hill, combining sculptural form, beautifully figured timber veneer and a sophisticated glass-topped design.

The table features a generous central surface beneath its original glass top, showcasing the dramatic, flowing grain of the timber veneer. The warm, rich wood tones create a distinctive and elegant aesthetic.

A particularly clever feature is the pair of concealed extensions at either end. These sit discreetly beneath the main tabletop when not in use and can be drawn out to provide additional serving surfaces or a substantially larger dining area for entertaining and extended seating.

The sculptural pedestal base, with its sweeping, curved supports, gives the table a strong architectural presence while maintaining an elegant, organic silhouette. The rounded corners, layered timber edging and fine dark detailing further enhance its distinctive design.

The timber veneer beneath the central glass has been sanded and refinished, bringing renewed depth and clarity to its striking grain. The original glass top, fitting the central table is retained.

An unusual and versatile piece of designer furniture, equally suited to a contemporary interior, a mid-century-inspired home or an eclectic collection of fine timber furnishings.

Dimensions: Measuring 1.68 unextended x 90, each extension is around 36 cm deep taking full extension to 2.4 metres.
