This exceptional solid rosewood pedestal table dates to the mid–late 19th century and showcases the depth, colour and weight that only genuine rosewood can offer.
Crafted entirely from solid rosewood (not veneer), the rectangular top displays striking natural grain and rich tonal variation, developed through decades of age and use. The substantial top sits on a turned central pedestal base, terminating in four elegantly scrolled feet, each fitted with original castors — a rare and highly desirable surviving detail that confirms quality and authenticity.
Highly versatile in scale and form, this piece functions beautifully as a library table, centre table, hall table, or compact dining table, making it ideal for both traditional and contemporary interiors. The castors allow the table to be moved with ease while remaining visually unobtrusive.
