Erik Hoglund large cobalt blue glass dish with 3 stylised farm animals moulded into glass for Boda, Sweden. This is one of the rarest and most difficult to source of these dishes. Excellent condition. 24 cm x 12.2 cm x 3.5 cm Erik Hoglund was a pioneer of glass design, joining Boda in 1953. By the 1960s he had made a significant impact on Swedish glass, moving it from traditional formalism and into more modernist and fluid designs including human and animal motifs. He remained with Boda until 1973 and his work is highly collectable worldwide.
